After Russian-made Schneider socket boxes disappeared from the market, we needed to launch our own production to meet demand. We contacted Komponent R with the task of creating injection molds for socket boxes that would match EU standards and perform well in serial use.
The Komponent R team developed full technical documentation, performed a basic product analysis, and delivered high-quality molds with a 1-million shot warranty.
However, during testing, we encountered a problem: the product cracked under stress, and when connecting multiple socket boxes in a row — they wouldn’t hold. This was a new market expectation that wasn’t part of our initial spec — and one we hadn’t anticipated ourselves.
But the team at Komponent R didn’t just shrug it off — they took initiative as engineers, not just contractors. They proposed and implemented structural improvements: added bayonet-style connection elements, introduced reinforcement overlaps at weak points, and adapted the design to meet evolving market requirements.
The result? Perfect molds that run smoothly, deliver strong and consistent geometry, and genuinely satisfy both our production team and technical staff. We continue to work with Komponent R on new projects — they are a true engineering partner, not just a mold supplier.
